What do you know about it?? I joined tonight without having anyone's influence... so I am all alone. I really know nothing about it. I got stuck in a barn this evening... of course I did, right. Of all places to get stuck.

Anyway, my user name is "Ace Posthorn".... If you know anything and want to give me a few hints let me know.

Thanks

Due to the fact that Danae missing me on LJ (its only been a week, talk about seperation Anxiety, I decided to post here instead of on MYSPACE.

Anyway, I went shopping at Trader Joe's today. We were out of Blood Orange Juice and a few other things... Not to mention I needed these Apricots for a recipe I am going to make... its yummy, trust me.

Well, while I was in there shopping I spotted some Pumpkin Seeds that I had forgotten that I wanted to pick up (sister-in-law had them this weekend)... and right next to, or near I should say, the pumpkin seeds were PARMESAN CRISPS.

My first reaction was "aww how cute"... but thats just the gay in me.. However when I got home these evening and wanted to snack on something I opened a bag and had a taste. OH MAN... GOOD STUFF! Tell all your friends!

I bet they would be real good if you dipped them in Spinach and Artchoke dip.. I betcha.

That is all.

Miss you too Danae.

Everything goes with Cornbread.

On Friday, as you know, I made some real yummy Corn Bread. Its smelled so good I had to post about. Well kids, it tasted better than it smelled. Oh boy!

So I decided for dinner, I would make some Trader Joe's Chili. It was quick easy and simple... I love things that come in jars.

Then tonight Anthony was like "what shall we have for dinner". I was like "how about a nice Crispy Chicken Asian Salad with Mandarin slices... Oh boy....

Anthony thought that was a great Idea but he thought making Beef Stew would be better... we argued for about 10 minutes over which recipe we were going to use. He wanted one with Red Wine and being from the South I had never heard of such things.... well, since he was making it I let him have his way.

The Stew took about 2.5 hrs. but boy oh boy was it yummy! The best part is, is that I had left over Corn Bread to eat with it. *burp*

I think tomorrow instead of cereal I am just going to pour milk over it and away we go!

Corn Bread its not just for dinner anymore!

That is all.

Ok, so I am sitting at my computer taking a stupid Harry Potter Test... (see below)

THEN all of the sudden my dog starts to GROWL... and I mean like CUJO CROWL. I looked down and before I could tell her to stop she jumped up and headed to the Slider.

Picture it - My computer room used to be a porch, now its enclosed. We have 3 sliders going around so all in all 2 sides are windows. We have the windows covered by those nasty plastic blinds that everyone in the early 90's thought were cool. ... ... SHUT UP, we haven't gotten around to replacing them yet.

**returns to the story**
... she jumped up and headed to the Slider all while in this nasty growl like tone. I look out the window from my chair (I can see up the hill from this view point) and about two houses up coming down the hill is a man in a hat. Since the light is behind him all I can see is a Silouette. My dog keeps growling and starts to bark... the man gets closer.. and closer and for some strange reason I think "FREDDY KRUEGER". Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Then that stupid song starts entering my head 1...2 Freddy's after you! 3...4 better lock the door
all this while the man is walking by my fence with not one glimmer of light reflecting off him. His face remained dark the entire time.

NOW I WILL HAVE NIGHTMARES TONIGHT!

I hate creepy people in the neighborhood who don't have common sense not to wear old 80's clothing in the dark!

Friday
1:15 - Head out for my trip up to CT to visit my friend Cindy.
2:30 - I hit the worst traffic in the entire world on Rt. 84 just passed Danbury.
5:00 - Just out of Hartford, CT. Near Rt. 2 towards Norwich.
6:00 - Arrive in Brooklyn, CT

What should have taken 3 hrs took 5 hrs. YUCK!!!

I was so tired when I got there, all I wanted to do was go to bed... however, I promised her and her son that I would go to his Highschool Football game. The highlight for me was when I sit down on the Bleachers I her a "MOM" yell... "GO AFTER THAT PANSY" Nice... it took all my energy not to turn around and tell the C*NT to Shut the Fuck up... but again, I was probably out numbered... Well, not in teeth.

After about an hour of freezing my arse off and eating 2 pieces of Cold Pizza from the Consestion stand, I got in Cindy's car and drove back to her place... she was going to get a ride from her husband.

We went to bed around 1PM

Saturday
Cindy was supposed to have a yard sale on Saturday morning... However, it wasn't the most prepared yard sale I have been too. I spent about an hour loading my car up with things on Friday afternoon to bring to the yard sale... but sadly, it didn't happen. It was really windy on Saturday and again... things didn't come together as they should have. I still have my yard sale stuff in my car... so if you are looking for a Crock Pot (barely used), a keyboard some roller blades (used once... size 11) & some pictures that were on my dining room wall.. with some other things that I can't remember, just let me know. In the end, we just headed to the Mall and Mystic with her husband and son. I did buy some soap at the mall but ended up forgetting it in CT.. ah well. The upside of the day is that Cindy made me a lovely dinner... Boneless Pork chops with some Lemon Herb Rice. It was good. We also played a round of the buffy to which Cindy handed my ass to be on a platter.

Sunday
Woke up around 7:30AM... or should I say 1AM when I heard her youngest son playing a PS2 Game... Must have been some sort of Football since every 5 seconds I heard a whistle Blow..... Then around 2PM I woke up to her Oldest Son coming home and shutting my door... To which he proceeded to play with his friend for god knows how long... then again at 4AM to her daughter coming home. Its a house of very loud people and she can attest to that. So anyway, around 7:30 I woke up to get ready to spend the morning in Sturbridge Village. I had never been there before so I thought, what a great idea. I wanted to leave the house around 9AM, but Cindy was still sleeping... so, a little after 9AM I went into her bedroom and decided to wake her and let her know that I was just going to head home. I was actually pretty tired and I knew that if we didn't get on the road around 8:30 I would probably just drive home. I took Rt. 95 all the way home because Rt. 84 was on my shit list from Friday. I missed my 287 exit and ended up going over the George Washington Bridge in NY City... more traffic. Ah well.... I went to bed last night around 8PM.

The highlight of the weekend was that Cindy's new snake went missing... and guess who found it under a pile of T-shirts.... I sceamed like a BITCH! I don't mind snakes but I stay away from them because my bible tells me they're the devil. *wink

All in all the weekend was a nice visit. We didn't get anything accomplished but the visit was nice. Oh and one last thing..... who does LJ think they are changing shit around so I don't know where anything is? (reason why text isn't hidden)

The FIRE WHISPERER!!! YEAH!!!

Ok, so it may have taken me about 22 pieces of Kindeling... a whole entire Sunday Newspaper with Ads... an hour of my life and a can of Gasoline, but the damn thing finally got started! It was roar'n I tell ya! ROAR'N!
Ok... maybe it was more of a soft purrr.... but it was going.

*NOTE* user pic is by NO means what the actual fire looked like. That picture was done with smoke and mirrors... and a quick copy and paste from Google Images.

stranded on an island... I would so totally just die. I just tried to start a fire in our fireplace and **POOF** it went out. I then tried again and **POOF** it went out... you know, I am even using a stupid match. I thought I did it right.

Cruppled Up Paper... check
Kindling... Check
Large Pieces of Wood... Check
Match... Check
Oxygen... *gasp choke weez... just kidding*... check

I placed the Paper under the big metal thingy.... then I placed all the kindling in the form of a sorta T-P (I would have made a bad american indian too) above the paper.... then I placed the larger fire wood ontop of all that...sprayed with some lighter fluid.. and ***BANG***

No really, I lit the bottom of everything with a very long match... and nothing. DRAT DRAT DRAT!

Where is a man when you need one?

Ok... so yea this summer we had our flowers stolen off our Front Porch (TWICE) and the neighbor had her car broken into at least twice. Then this past Sunday, someone broke into her car yet again. Only this time, it was 4PM. Who breaks into a car in the middle of the afternoon?

GUH!

Anyway, this prompted Anthony and I to invest in an alarm in our house. ADT came this afternoon and installed everything. 6hrs. later and I feel so safe? *wink

Again, you would think I lived in a bad area or something?

Wanna know what I did find out today. The locks that are on these "new" windows are for shit. The ADT guy said that if someone puts a screw driver in the bottom and pushes it pops the lock. Who knew?

I just wish people wouldn't steal, HOW RUDE! Well, I feel that way now. **points to one of my friends who shall remain nameless**

YUM!!

Anthony and I went out shopping today. Its been the first time in a long time that we actually had a weekend where we can go out on a shopping spree. I saw some really cute things in the Crate and Barrell Catalog this week and remember that I had a gift certificate from the Managers I work with. Totally slipped my mind. We drove down to Cranberry, NJ to the outlet to see if they had them cheaper. They did ... WOOT!

On the way back we stopped at a Starbucks for some coffe. OK! Can we say DELICIOUS. I ordered the PUMPKIN SPICE LATTE and it was out of this word. The woman behind the counter, who is now my new best friend, gave me some of the Pumpkin Spice in a cup with some steamed milk so I could try it first. Better than Chocolate I tell ya. OH What a treat.

Of course my next question to the woman was "Do you sell that stuff?" and of course she replied, "no!". You would have thought she might have given me some on the sly. But no!

**BITCH**

Anyway, Pumpkin Spice Latte is my new favorite thing in the whole wide world.

That is all.

Ok, for the past couple of weeks its been REAL nice outside. No A/C needed the windows have been open. It was really nice having the hot summer turn into fall. However, today that was all shattered. WTF mother nature? Its all hot and no matter how many windows I have open I am sweating. This is why I ordered Chinese for dinner. (New Menu came in the mail today). Not to mention I wont have to cook on the stove.

Mmm Mmm Pineapple Chicken, here I come.

One of the nastiest things I have tasted in a very long time (the list is shorter than you think) is:

Trader Joe's
All Natural
Pasteurized
100%
Cranberry Juice
not from concentrate

Seriously Trader Joe's, who has the stomach for this stuff? Actually, I'm really the one to blame. How did I think 100% Juice was going to taste? I tried to control the taste by adding a bottle of lemonade to a glass of this stuff, but that only infuriated the flavor. Oh yea.... I kid you not.

So, what is a girl to do with 64oz of Pure Evil? Please you have any ideas let me know, I would pour it down the drain but I am afraid it will eat threw the pipes.
